SANTA ROSA, CA (March 12, 2019)— Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) and the Santa Rosa Symphony announced the lineup for the 2019–20 Carlton Senior Living Symphony Pops Series, to be presented in the Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa). Now in its 15th year, the Sunday afternoon concert series introduces audiences to the great depth and range of sounds of the Santa Rosa Symphony and acclaimed soloists, through the music of legendary icons, famous film scores, and more. Led by the Santa Rosa Symphony’s Principal Pops Conductor Michael Berkowitz, the 2019–20 season kicks-off with Symphonic Sinatra! on Sunday, October 13, 2019. The series will ring in the holiday season on Sunday, December 15, 2019 with Holly Jolly Pops, featuring festive carols and contemporary favorites. On Sunday, February 23, 2020, the Symphony Pops will present Bond and Beyond, featuring classic hits from the iconic James Bond movies and other spy films. The series comes to a close on Sunday, April 26, 2020 with Remember When Rock Was Young, a tribute to Sir Elton John. Prior to each performance, LBC will host a discussion with Maestro Berkowitz, who provides insight into the afternoon’s program and shares personal anecdotes and memories from his storied career working on Broadway with icons including Liza Minnelli, Henry Mancini, and Marvin Hamlisch.
Season ticket packages ($111–$272), which include all four concerts and pre-concert talks, are available now. Single tickets ($37 –$90) will go on sale in August. Symphonic Sinatra! is the only authentic recreation of Frank Sinatra in concert. With breathtaking stage charisma, sparkling blue eyes, and a velvet baritone voice, soloist Brian Duprey truly inhabits the iconic singer. Duprey will take audiences on a dramatic musical journey through some of the crooner’s iconic hits including “Fly Me to the Moon,” “New York, New York,” “My Way,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” and many more.

Santa Rosa’s favorite holiday tradition—featuring singing Santas, dancing elves, and parading toy soldiers—returns! The concert will feature the Santa Rosa Symphony Symphonic Chorus, The Roustabout Theater and vocalists Clairdee and Ned Rifken. The program features contemporary Christmas favorites made famous by Dean Martin, Michael Bublé, Ella Fitzgerald, as well as traditional tunes including “Let It Snow,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “We Three Kings,” “All I Want for Christmas,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” and many more.
Bond and Beyond

Santa Rosa Symphony and award-winning vocalist Laura Dickinson present a concert celebrating the world’s most famous spy—Bond, James Bond. This program will include all of the iconic music audiences have grown to love including “Goldfinger,” “From Russia with Love,” “Diamonds Are Forever,” and “Skyfall.” The program will also feature tributes to other spies and detectives from around the world, including music from “The Pink Panther,” “Austin Powers,” and “Charlie’s Angels.”
Remember When Rock Was Young – the Elton John Tribute

The Santa Rosa Symphony and critically-acclaimed Elton John tribute artist Craig A. Meyer will transport audiences to the days of big hair, outrageous clothes, and cheap gasoline! This spectacular musical journey celebrates the decades of chart-topping hits by Sir Elton John, including: “Benny and the Jets,” “Philadelphia Freedom,” “Crocodile Rock,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” and “Candle in the Wind.”
