Resident Companies

Luther Burbank Center for the Arts is proud to be the home of these local, community-based theatre companies.

Left Edge Theatre endeavors to thrill, challenge, and engage audiences with ideas that make us think more, laugh more, and feel more. With the highest artistic standards and the region’s most talented theatre artists, we produce a professional season of ambitious performances in search of what is best in ourselves and in the human spirit.

We present Sonoma County premieres for adventurous audiences in our new Left Edge Studio Theatre at the LBC. The intimate venue is shared with Young Actors Studio.

Young Actors Studio builds confidence, creativity and teamwork through the power of theatre. We have opportunities for youth of any skill level age 6-18. Our affordable After School Theatre Classes and Summer Drama Camps are structured for beginners and intermediate students. More advanced students can deepen their craft through internships with our professional company- Left Edge Theatre. We believe the experience of doing theatre has the power to make the world a better place and participation should not be limited to only those who can afford it. YAS is the only “Play for Free” youth theatre in Sonoma County.
