Donors put Professional Development programs over the top!

Recently, we wrote to ask your help in continuing the indispensable work of teachers and teaching artists who enrich the lives and learning of thousands of students in our schools. You agreed that our Professional Development programs in arts education play a vital role in a child’s academic development. You agreed that our quality of life in Sonoma County depends on it. How do we know? Because we not only reached our goal of $15,000, we exceeded it!

Because of your generosity, we raised $15,800 for LBC programs that will support students in ways that build creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills, including training and supporting their teachers in arts integration practices.

Demand for our professional development offerings is increasing, so we really needed this win! Now, every educator in our programs will have the tools to serve thousands of students throughout their careers. More than 85,000 children benefit from just one year of arts-based professional development programming. Your gift helped us recharge these programs:

  • Tools for Teachers
  • Teaching Artist Training
  • Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) in the Classroom
  • Mariachi Institute

We also are grateful to the Farley Family Charitable Foundation, which matched contributions, making sure your gift got us to the finish line faster. Of course, we never stop appreciating your support, just as our teachers and teaching artists never stop needing it. You are welcome to make a donation any time at lutherburbankcenter.org. You also can learn more about our professional development programs under the website education tab.
