Explore students’ imaginations through joyful movement! This residency uses tools from BrainDance, developed by Anne Green Gilbert to integrate the mind-body nervous system, and CircusYoga, created by Kevin and Erin O’Keefe. Students will challenge their bodies to move in creative ways including developing scarf-dance tricks, exploring points of contact (not just feet!), and simple partner-balances. The goals of this workshop are to help students connect with their embodied imaginations, practice spatial awareness and collaboration, and expand their range of safe, playful movement.
