Artists in the Schools

Arts for All Residencies

Use what you know! Students learn to express themselves, think on their feet, develop confidence, and experience true teamwork through performance of situational improvisation. Improvisation can seem intimidating, but there are many ways to unlock the joy, creativity, imagination and teamwork at its heart, and the benefits to students are many. From courage and empathy, to listening, collaborating, and flexible thinking, theater improv can take the feeling of joy and community in your classroom to a whole new level!

Bridget Palmer brings a deep well of experience to teaching the exhilarating art of improvised comedy theater! From founding and leading the adult 6th Street Improv company for 5 years, shepherding students ages 8-14 through improv activities through 15 years at her signature drama camps, and her Story Ninja programs, Bridget has developed many strategies to help your students benefit from this extraordinary art form.
