Teaching Artist Training

Classroom Management

Different teaching environments call for different management styles and techniques—working with a classroom teacher is a significantly different experience than leading students in an after-school class or summer camp. Explore different tools and techniques to navigate experiences with classroom teachers, communicate effectively with students, and protect your energy stores to prevent burn out from over extending yourself during your classes. We’ll share best practices, discuss what has worked and what hasn’t for you in different settings, and help you implement proactive rather than reactive management techniques to set your students up for success.

Also great for new teachers!
