Access to the arts for everyone in our community is at the heart of our mission. We’re proud to offer the following financial assistance programs to eligible schools.
The Evert Person Bus Fund
The Evert Person Bus Fund offers financial awards to offset the rising cost of transportation. Since its inception in 2003, our Bus Fund has awarded more than 610 grants to over 130 schools, helping more than 50,000 students with the cost of transportation to our School Shows!
Qualifying Title One schools, determined by the state to be most in need of assistance, receive the maximum award. This program is made possible by a generous contribution made by Mrs. Evert Person and the Ernest L. and Ruth W. Finley Foundation.
Funds are limited, apply today!

If your request is granted, you will receive a confirmation letter via mail and an award check will be sent following the performance. Funds are mailed via check approximately 10 days following the show. Awards are distributed based on need. Funds are not dispersed until after the performance(s) provided show invoice is paid in full and attendance is confirmed. Awards may vary depending on program funding.
Students participating in the National Lunch Program receive an automatic discount on seats to School Shows and, in addition, these groups automatically receive free tickets for teachers and chaperones (one free ticket for each 10 student tickets purchased). These ArtReach benefits can be requested directly on the School Shows order application.
Schools needing further assistance to attend a School Show should apply for a scholarship using the button below.
Educators may apply for scholarships to attend our Professional Development programs. Through our partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, we focus on standards-based arts integrated lessons that teachers can take immediately back to their classrooms.
Scholarships are available for our Artists in the Schools, where each of LBC’s arts integration residencies brings an artist into your classroom to lead your students through six interactive sessions combining an art form and another academic content area to dive deeper into learning.
Once we receive your application, we will confirm receipt of your request via email. If your request is granted, you will receive confirmation via mail. Full scholarships are limited and may not be available for all events/residencies.
This program is made possible by a generous contribution from Mrs. Evert Person and the Ernest L. and Ruth W. Finley Foundation.
Non-profit service providers who work with low-income and underserved children and adults in our community may also request ArtReach tickets for public performances. Please email Taylor Mitchell or call 707.800.7556.
