The Golden Dragon Acrobats combine award-winning acrobatics, traditional dance, spectacular costumes, ancient and contemporary music, and theatrical techniques to present a show of breathtaking skill and spellbinding beauty representing the best of a time-honored tradition that began more than 25 centuries ago.

  • 9-10.RI.3: Analyze how the author unfolds an analysis or series of ideas or events, including the order in which the points are made, how they are introduced and developed, and the connections that are drawn between them.

Lesson Plan Idea

Students create a collage representing the narrative and the tradition of Chinese culture that the Golden Dragon Acrobats represented on stage.

Art Talks: Free Guided Tours of the Sculpture Garden

Extend your field trip by touring our Sculpture Garden with a specially trained docent! Our current exhibition, Harmonies: Kati Casida, Catherine Daley, and Jann Nunn, features three highly acclaimed Bay Area sculptors. Join us with a group of up to 100 people for a a walking tour through these unique works. Tours begin 15 minutes after school shows and last approximately 20 minutes.
