This bilingual adaptation of a beloved Reading Rainbow picture book follows Maebelle—an eccentric hat maker who lives in a treehouse after immigrating from Colombia. She befriends Binkle, a bird with too much to carry on his winter migration. Maebelle generously offers her suitcase as she shares the contents and her memories from Colombia. Through laughter and tears, the two discover the beauty of remembrance and the liberating power of letting go. An enchanting tale of friendship and cultural heritage featuring puppetry and Columbian music.
LBC performance may not include pieces from above photographs or video.
