With a career that spans more than 70 years, the Blind Boys of Alabama have been celebrated with Lifetime Achievement Awards from The National Endowment for the Arts and the Recording Academy, five Grammy Awards®, and induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Recently, they released a Grammy-nominated collaborative recording with Béla Fleck, along with collaborative recordings and coinciding tours with both Marc Cohn and afro-pop duo Amadou & Mariam.
Charlie Musselwhite
2014 Grammy Award® winner for Get Up with Ben Harper, 13-time Grammy Nominee, 33-time Blues Music Award winner, and many-time Living Blues Award winner
Charlie Musselwhite’s journey through the blues took him from his birthplace in Mississippi to Chicago in the early sixties, where, in 1966, at the age of 22, he recorded the landmark Stand Back!, to San Francisco in 1967, where his album was being played on underground radio and he found himself welcomed into the counterculture scene as an authentic purveyor of the real deal blues. After 20 albums and fifty years of nonstop touring, performing, and recording, Charlie Musselwhite is living proof that great music only gets better with age.
