Celebrate Latino Heritage Month with a taste of Latin America in Sonoma County! Enjoy authentic food, music, games, and activities for the entire family. Organized by LBC’s Latino Advisory Council, this free, family-friendly, campus-wide festival celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexico’s Independence.
Performances include incredible headline entertainment, LBC’s own student bands (Mariachi Cantares de mi Tierra and Mariachi Luna Naranja), Ballet Folklórico Ireri, and other local favorites. Children’s activities include carnival games, face painting, a jumpy house, piñatas, and more from local partnerships such as part participants Children’s Museum of Sonoma County and the Sonoma County Library,.
Exhibitions to include a low rider car show with 1 Firme Car Club, cultural exhibitions by students from Roseland University Prep’s MEChA Program, and El Grito with the Mexican Consulate of San Francisco.
In partnership with Los Cien, LBC also will present the annual Community Leadership Awards. The event also includes local service organizations and businesses.
To help ensure experiences are enjoyable for all, LBC has created policies and procedures to promote a secure, safe, and welcoming environment at all events held at the Center. Guests should anticipate security presence and safety screenings upon arrival.
