Luther Locals Live with

John Courage Trio featuring Schlee

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

The John Courage Trio is proud to present a special set featuring Francesco Echo on the bass and Dan Ford on the drums. John Courage has been honing his skills as a songwriter, guitarist, and producer for more than 20 years in the music communities of Northern California, with stints in the Pacific Northwest and the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico. With his flair for vintage-inspired rock and roll with cues from the Texas singer-songwriter scene of the ‘70s and tonal landscapes of ‘80s-influenced pop, John Courage creates a sound that at once feels familiar yet urgent.

Schlee is a genre-bending songstress and visual artist from Northern California, who is inspired by vulnerability, time travel, and the things that make us grow. As a double water sign and fire moon, it’s not hard to see that Schlee is a dreamer with ambition. She’s a multifaceted woman, a multi-instrumentalist and singer, self-taught videographer, art director, screenplay writer, and set designer. She’s a sucker for a sad song and writes her best melodies when she can sing softly and tenderly alongside an open window accompanied by the birds.
