Opening the 2023-24 Pops Series, Unforgettable- the Great American Songbook, with Guest Conductor Sean O’Loughlin, currently Principal Pops Conductor of Symphoria, in Syracuse, NY, and Principal Pops Conductor of Victoria (Canada) Symphony Pops. O’Loughlin will be accompanied by America’s Got Talent finalists Julia Goodwin and Nick Ziobro to reimagine the timeless classics, from Come Fly with Me to Fascinating Rhythm and everything in between.

Sean O’Loughlin, Guest Conductor

Sean O’Loughlin is the Principal Pops Conductor of Symphoria, the exciting new symphony in Syracuse, NY and the newly appointed Principal Pops Conductor of the Victoria Symphony in Victoria, B.C. Canada. His music is characterized by vibrant rhythms, passionate melodies, and colorful scoring. Commissions from the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra highlight and showcase his diverse musical abilities.

As a conductor, he has led performances with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony, the Vancouver Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, the Houston Symphony, the Victoria Symphony and the Seattle Symphony amongst others. He was the assistant conductor and arranger for a production of Sgt. Pepper Live in Las Vegas featuring the band Cheap Trick. He has served as conductor for national and world-wide tours with Josh Groban, Sarah McLachlan and the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration. He has also appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America with Josh Groban and NBC’s A Very Pentatonix Christmas.

Nick Ziobro, Vocalist

A dynamic voice in the world of classic American standards, Ziobro was named the national winner of the 2012 Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Vocal Competition. He spent a year serving as the Great American Songbook Youth Ambassador and toured with his mentor, world-renowned performer, Michael Feinstein. Ziobro made his New York debut at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency in 2012, opening for Michael Feinstein and Marilyn Maye. He performed at the induction galas for the Great American Songbook Hall of Fame in 2012 and 2013, alongside Liza Minnelli, Barry Manilow, Rita Moreno, Andrea McArdle, Clay Aiken, Lari White, and Jose Feliciano.  He was invited to perform the National Anthem at Lucas Oil Stadium for the Indianapolis Colts in September, 2012. Ziobro’s debut album, A Lot Of Livin’ to Do, produced by Michael Feinstein and featuring jazz greats Bucky Pizzarelli, Tedd Firth, and Jay Leonhart, was released in May, 2014.

Julia Goodman, Vocalist

Julia Goodwin is a pop/contemporary R&B singer and songwriter from Syracuse, NY, with a soulful sound and warm-hearted nature that help her connect with an array of audiences. Goodwin has performed on some of the world’s most renowned stages, including Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Birdland, The Palladium, 54 Below, The Wynn, The Rainbow Room, NFL stadiums, The Dolby Theater, and Radio City Music Hall. She was featured as a Quarter Finalist on Season 9 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and has acquired a fan base online, posting popular covers and derivative works – sometimes alongside her younger sister, Sara Goodwin. Over the years, Goodwin has been invited to join an A-list of multiple, award-winning singers from the worlds of Jazz, Broadway, Cabaret and Pop, including Michael Feinstein, Freddy Cole, Christine Ebersole, Kristin Chenoweth, Dan Brubeck, Darren Criss, Elaine Paige, Marilyn Maye, Aaron Tveit, Jake Miller, Benny Mardones, Andy Grammer, Jessica Sanchez, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Trombone Shorty, B.B. King, Michael McDonald, and others.
