The Heart Behind the Giving

Donors and members often share the wonderful ways they are connected to the LBC and the special reasons for their generous support. Read a few of the heartwarming gems we find especially meaningful.

“In memory of my dear mother, who introduced me to the arts and supported my creative efforts. “New member, Nancy Lindzy, who joined the LBC after attending a few shows.

“I book the School Shows for our school, so I appreciate the variety and quality of the shows offered. They’re always a big hit with our students. The arts are critical to keeping students’ minds open and accepting of more possibilities and ways of being than they experience on a day-to-day basis.” Teacher Angela, Heartwood Charter School.

“We have enjoyed many, many shows at LBC over the years. Forty-five years ago, when the building was the Christian Life Center, my husband was baptized in the baptismal, which was previously located behind (what is now) the LBC stage.” Bonnie Day, who gave in honor of her husband, Chris.

Mariachi, Guatemala City, 1991

“To honor my brother-in-law, Steve Wingert, who learned to love mariachi while serving with USAID in Guatemala and Honduras.” Barbara Bowman for her generous donation to the Mariachi program.

Thank you Nancy, Angela, Bonnie, and Barbara for sharing your reasons for giving to the LBC!
