DANCE OF LIFE
Bruce Johnson
1978 and 2005 old growth redwood and reclaimed copper shingles and sheet copper
144” x 44” x 8”
Dance of Life was carved from a single piece of old growth redwood in 1978. The dancing figures reflect the artist’s deep love of family and the joy of the human spirit. In 2005, he clad the piece in reclaimed copper shingles and sheet copper, resulting in a modern interpretation that will stand the test of time.
“Bruce Johnson’s heart was full of love and boundless creative energy. We are proud to share this work by a dear friend of over 50 years.”
