Green Peace is one of the few works by Bruce Johnson to receive a colored stain. Sculpted from a single piece of old growth redwood, the sculpture’s concave form, copper rivulet, and cool green color represent the Zen qualities of strength through peace and reflection, and they honor the artist’s values of recycling and reuse. The smooth copper shingles form a tactile rivulet, and the holes invite the viewer to touch and look beyond.
