SANTA ROSA, CA (May 10, 2023) – Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced it has added 20 new shows to its lineup for the 2023 season, continuing its commitment to bring to the North Bay chart-topping music, compelling dance, provocative comedy, and groundbreaking talks to reflect the diverse interests across Sonoma County.

Tickets for all shows go on sale first to LBC members on Wednesday, May 10, at 10 am and to the general public on Friday, May 19, at 10 am. Tickets are available online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600, or at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts ticket office, 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa, Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.

Award-Winning Artists
LBC continues to bring a wide range of world-class, award-winning artists to Sonoma County with additions to the season highlighted by rock ‘n’ roll torchbearer Daughtry, whose Bare Bones Tour comes to LBC Friday, September 15. Shortly after, on September 23, Masters of Illusion will fill LBC’s theater with jaw-dropping grand illusions and hysterical comedy magic. A cappella group Straight No Chaser brings its captivating sounds of human voices making extraordinary music, both moving and humorous, on Wednesday, October 25, and multiplatinum troubadour Andy Grammar energizes the LBC audience with his pop anthems on Wednesday, November 1. Blippi – The Wonderful World Tour presents the distinct features of different cities around the world through fun and lively song and dance on Saturday, December 2. On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Johnny Cash – The Official Concert Experience comes to LBC with state-of-the-art technology that lifts the legend’s rich, iconic baritone from archival concert footage and blends it into a live performance of his biggest hits. Classic Albums Live recreates the classics with its Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers concert on Friday, January 26, 2024. Latin Grammy®-winner and all female group Gina Chavez & Flor De Toloache presents its edgy, versatile, and fresh take on traditional Latin American music, Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Rodney Strong Dance Series
LBC’s lineup of dance performances features three Rodney Strong Dance Series programs, taking audiences from the energized and athletic contemporary style of Parsons Dance on Monday, October 23, to the colorful traditions of Christmas in Mexico with Posada Navideña on Friday, December 8. Halau Hula Ka No’eau takes the dance of the renowned Maiki Aiu Lake lineage of O’ahu to the LBC stage on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Speakers
From celestial to social commentary, the topics of conversation on the LBC stage expand further with four additional speakers to its lineup of presenters. Two comedians known for their quirky, insightful wit will talk the talk on stage: Actress, author, and comedian Amy Sedaris brings her can-do spirit to an Evening of Conversation on Thursday, September 21, and comedic genius Molly Shannon presents her own Evening of Conversation on Thursday, October 19. Psychic Medium Matt Fraser brings his heartfelt emotional readings to fans on Sunday, November 26, while Psychic Medium John Edward presents an intimate afternoon of revelation on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Finally, Fran Lebowitz offers her insightful social commentary and acerbic views on current events and media on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

Events and Holiday Shows
Feeding comedy enthusiasts the variety they’ve come to expect from LBC, the Center adds the 47th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition Semi-Finals, Saturday, September 16 to its growing lineup of comedy programs this season. No tickets are necessary to join LBC in celebrating Latino Heritage Month on Sunday, September 10, with Fiesta de la Independencia. Open to the public, the festival will feature authentic Latin American food, music, games, and activities for the entire family. Rounding out this season’s holiday lineup, Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet on December 18 presents an extraordinary international cast and Ukrainian principal artists performing the classical dance with jaw-dropping acrobatics, puppetry and set design. Dave Koz and Friends fans will be treated to some fresh, lively arrangements of holiday favorites when the band returns to LBC on Wednesday, December 20.

Santa Rosa, Calif. April 20, 2023 – Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced it has

elected David Weinstein and Darcy Pecoraro to its Board of Directors. Their placement brings to 20 the number of members on the board of the nonprofit arts center.

Weinstein is Senior Vice President of VANTREO, a local provider of insurance and risk management, where he leads the development of new carrier relationships and further growth for existing ones. Weinstein has more than 20 years of leadership experience and an extensive background in risk management and workers’ compensation. He co-founded CompZone™, founded West Coast Direct Insurance Services, and serves on the agency councils of multiple workers’ compensation carriers. A resident of Forestville, Weinstein has served on the boards of several nonprofits, including a Humboldt County-based coastal conservation organization. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).

Pecoraro is a native Californian business investor with more than 25 years of experience in management, finance, and community volunteerism and advocacy. She launched VIP Petcare with her husband, Ken, in 1995 and served as Director of Tax & Treasury, responsible for compliance, insurance, and risk management. After expanding the company to 32 states and selling the business in 2017, Pecoraro has worked with organizations that advocate and support mental and physical health. A resident of Santa Rosa, she currently serves on the finance committee for Canine Companions, and she coaches boys’ and girls’ junior high school basketball.
