LUTHER BURBANK CENTER FOR THE ARTS LAUNCHES FREE OUTDOOR SUMMER MUSIC SERIES WITH FOCUS ON LOCAL ARTISTS AND COMMUNITY
Tuesday evening concerts feature everything Sonoma County locals love for happy hour: Local bands. Local wines and beer. Local food truck fare. Artisan vendors.
Santa Rosa, Calif., April 3, 2023 – In its commitment to support local artists and continue developing new ways to connect the community through the arts, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced it will launch a new summer series of live concerts, where locals can unwind during after-work hours, while enjoying live music in a local community market atmosphere.
A series of 10 free concerts, Luther Locals Live will take place outdoors on the Marcia & Gary Nelson Family Grand Plaza at LBC, Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The series runs from June 6 to August 15, except for July 4, when LBC is closed. In addition to live music, Luther Locals Live also will feature a market of vendors, including a variety of local beverage options offered by Morris Distributing and Rodney Strong Wine Estates, as well as several food-trucks and artisan makers.
Luther Locals Live developed out of the overwhelming and continued success of Luther Locals, LBC’s online studio concerts launched during the pandemic to keep the community connected to the arts. The ten artists performing in the series also participated in the online concerts. They include Burnside, Ellie James, Jacob Phillip Benning, The John Courage Trio, with special guest Schlee, Johnny Young, The King Street Giants, Michelle Lambert, The Musers, Sebastian Saint James & The Muscle Souls, and Tru Lyric.
“We are excited to bring this vibrant new outdoor concert series to Sonoma County’s locals and visitors this summer,” said Rick Nowlin, President & CEO. “Luther Locals Live is another example of our efforts to create positive ways to connect our community through the arts as well as to continue working with local artists to support their vital contributions to the region’s culture scene.”
Ample, convenient parking is available, and all ages are welcome to the concerts. ID will be checked at the bar. For the comfort of all patrons, pets will not be allowed at the event, except service animals. For more information, visit https://lutherburbankcenter.org/lutherlocalslive.
