Santa Rosa, Calif. March 21, 2022 – Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) announced it will host an online auction as part of Art of Dessert 2022, the center’s popular fundraising event to benefit its education and community engagement programs that increase access to the arts across Sonoma County. The auction opens April 2 at 9:00 am and closes April 13 at 8:00pm.
The Art of Dessert online auction launched two years ago when LBC moved its live event to a virtual experience because of the pandemic. “Taking the auction online gave us the opportunity to invite more of Sonoma County to participate and support our work,” said LBC President and CEO Rick Nowlin. “LBC’s performance center is valued throughout the North Bay, but with 90 percent of ticket sales going directly to our exceptional artists, fundraising events like the Art of Dessert online auction help bridge the gap, making both performances and our wide-reaching education and engagement programs possible.”
Items up for bid will feature exclusive wine packages, entertainment opportunities, and culinary experiences, including 2019 Precious Mountain Vineyard and 2019 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir paired with a tasting for six people, a Day on The Bay, signed posters by LBC performers, a Golden State Cider basket, and a Sierra Nevada beer basket. About Art of Dessert 2022
Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC) will host Art of Dessert, its annual gala to benefit its arts and education programs, on April 9, 2022, in the Lytton Rancheria Grand Lobby in Santa Rosa. Through Art of Dessert, LBC aims to raise $525,000 to support its 26 different Education and Community Engagement (ECE) programs. ECE provides enrichment through the arts to 50,000 students in the North Bay, scholarships to teachers and teaching artists, a sculpture garden and visual arts program, and a musical instrument lending library for schools and music programs. Besides the online auction and gala, the fundraiser also includes a social media community bake off challenge, beginning March 16.
