Ruth Finley Person Theater

The Ruth Finley Person Theater at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts is a flexible venue allowing for both seated and open floor configurations. When seated, the theater has a capacity of 1681 and is the largest fixed seat venue in Sonoma County, with no seat more than 75 feet from the stage. When main floor seats are removed, the open floor/seated balcony configuration raises the capacity to 2000. The theater’s unique thrust stage design provides a level of intimacy between artists and audiences unlike any other in Northern California. For nearly 40 years, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts has been the best place to see your favorite performer up close and personal.

Seating in the Ruth Finley Person Theater is provided on two levels: Orchestra (floor level) and Balcony (upstairs, second story).

The orchestra level of the theater features approximately 1100 fixed seats in three sections surrounding the stage. This level of the theater is accessible by seven entrances from the Center’s Lytton Rancheria Grand Lobby.

The balcony level of the Ruth Finley Person Theater features approximately 500 fixed seats and 48 additional “standing room only” positions located directly behind the last row of balcony seating. This level of the theater offers tiered seating with an elevated view of the stage. It is accessible by four entrances located off the second level of the theater. The balcony level of the Ruth Finley Person Theater is accessible only by a 28-step stairwell (no elevator is currently available).
