SANTA ROSA, CA (July 21, 2014) –Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts announced two new performances in September at the Ruth Finley Person Theater (50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa), including the Center’s first performance utilizing the new flexible theater configuration made possible by the venue’s 2013 renovation. Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat with special guests Alex & Sierra will perform Saturday, September 20. Then, on Tuesday, September 30, for the first time ever, the theater will transform, creating space for an even larger audience, fortheband O.A.R. Last year’s $3.3 million renovation resulted in a newly-flexible venue, where main floor seats can be removed, creating an open-floor venue that allows for an increased variety of performances. In this open-floor, seated balcony configuration, the venue’s capacity increases from 1681 to 2023.

Tickets for Colbie Caillat with special guests Alex & Sierra are $59 and $49 (all seats reserved) and tickets for O.A.R. are $59 in the reserved balcony and $49 for standing general admission on the main floor. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, July 25 at noon and will be available online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600, and in person at the box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa.

Caillat has been honored with Two Grammy Awards and sold over six million albums and ten million singles worldwide. Her multi-platinum debut COCO hit #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart upon release, while her sophomore set Breakthrough landed at #1. From 2011’s All of You, “Brighter Than The Sun” went platinum and enjoyed over twenty film and television placements, while seeing acclaim from People and New York Post. Beyond music, she’s an avowed spokesperson and supporter for the The Humane Society of the United States, the ASPCA, Farm Sanctuary, Surfrider Foundation, and Save The Music.

Gypsy Heart, and EP Gypsy Heart Side A see Caillat evolve artistically yet again. She admits “I went down a different path. It was exciting to try something new. The writing sessions that I reluctantly agreed to do, yielded a new creativity—especially once I got in the studio with ‘Babyface’. Songwriting can be an emotional rollercoaster, and that makes it fun for me. It’s personal therapy.”

Making their Santa Rosa debut, O.A.R. is renowned for its intense, vibrant live show —including selling out Madison Square Garden twice —and the communal feeling it shares with its fans. With each studio album, the band has endeavored to achieve that sense of immediacy.

In their eight studio album, THE ROCKVILLE LP, O.A.R. challenges classic American author Thomas Wolfe’s famous statement “you can’t go home again.” On the album, the shape-shifting rock band found that returning home triggered a journey of creative renewal and inspiration.

Tickets for Colbie Caillat with special guests Alex & Sierra are $59 and $49 (all seats reserved) and tickets for O.A.R. are $59 in the reserved balcony and $49 for general admission (standing) on the main floor. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, July 25 at noon and will be available online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600, and in person at the box office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa.
