Witnesses to Hispanic heritage history

Invited to perform for Daniel Suarez fans, LBC’s Mariachi Ensemble delighted to witness first NASCAR Cup Series win by Mexico-born driver

Our congratulations couldn’t be more robust for Daniel Suarez, the first Mexico-born driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series, when he took first place at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway last month. You could hear it loud and clear as our very own Mariachi Ensemble, Mariachi Cantares de mi Tierra de LBC, performed on stage for Suarez, his crew, and his fans all over the world, grateful for his role representing the Hispanic community as well as all athletes striving for their first win. Invited by Daniel’s Amigos, the group Suarez created to bring more new fans into the motorsports fold, LBC students endured crowds, heat, and event logistics to be a significant part of such a historic moment.
